Attachment is often seen as a double-edged sword. On one hand, it can provide comfort, connection, and a sense of belonging. On the other, it can lead to dependency, suffering, and even emotional entanglement when things don’t go as planned. The question arises: is attachment inherently harmful, or does the problem lie in how we approach it?

To address this, we must delve into the nature of attachment itself. From a psychological and philosophical perspective, attachment stems from our deep-rooted desire for security and connection. Human beings are social creatures; we are wired to form bonds with others, whether with people, objects, or ideas. This tendency is not inherently "bullshit" but rather a fundamental aspect of our humanity. However, problems arise when attachment becomes excessive or misdirected.
